After spending the first half of his legal career working for large developers and some of the country’s biggest banks handling real estate and foreclosure matters, David felt his career needed a new direction. He went to work representing indigent clients whose children had been removed from their custody by the state. He found helping people navigate the legal system during the lowest points of their lives when it seemed like no one was on their side much more satisfying than adding to a faceless corporation’s bottom line. He’s also worked on the other side of these matters, having served as an assistant attorney general in the Utah Attorney General’s Child Protection Division where he represented the State of Utah in child welfare cases.
